Iroko: Chlorophora Excelsa

 

Irokois is a tropical hardwood found within tropical areas in East Africa.

Iroko wood is often called "African Teak" but this is inaccurate and there is no biological link between them.

Iroko  wood is primarily used for construction, especially flooring because it idoes not become distorted in the sun and does not absorb heat. It is also used in crafting furniture.

  • High resistance against unfavorable climates and sun damage
  • Relatively cheaper than teak
